If your client owns solar panels and they're attached to their home or fixed to the ground within the boundaries of their home, we'd cover them as a fixture and fitting under the buildings section of the policy and replacement would be up to the buildings sum insured.

If the solar panels aren't attached to the home, they'd be covered under the contents section of the policy. This would be restricted between £500 to £1000 depending on the insurance policy.
