Home Insurance:

For new business, Contents Insurance covers pedal cycles (bicycles) within the home up to the contents sum insured limit.

Restrictions/exclusions:

Pedal cycles stored in an outbuilding – maximum of £5,000 for theft or attempted theft

No cover under optional accidental damage

No cover if left in the open grounds of the home

If your client requires cover for pedal cycles away from the home as well, you will need to select personal possessions cover. Pedal cycles will be covered away from the home:

- Up to £500 per pedal cycle if not specified under personal possessions

- Up to £15,000 if specified under personal possessions or £22,500 with Home insurance Plus

If your client's policy was taken out or renewed after 18 February 2024, then the below information is required:

If your client requires cover for pedal cycles away from the home as well, you will need to select personal possessions cover. Pedal cycles will be covered away from the home:

- Up to £2,500 per pedal cycle if not specified under personal possessions

- Up to £22,500 if specified under personal possessions or £30,000 with home insurance plus

Tenants contents:

Tenants Contents insurance can cover pedal cycles (bicycles) within the home up to the contents sum insured selected. Theft or attempted theft for items from an outbuilding belonging to the home are covered up to £3,000.00 for any one claim. Pedal cycles left in the open are excluded for loss or damage due to a range of causes (please refer to the policy booklet for full details).

To cover pedal cycles away from the home as well, you will need to select worldwide belongings cover for your client. Pedal cycles will be covered away from the home:

- Up to £2500 per pedal cycle if not specified under worldwide belongings cover.

- In addition to the contents sum insured if specified under worldwide belongings cover.
