For new business, if your client has a valuable item or items combined insured elsewhere that total more than the 30% of their contents sum insured, we cannot offer cover.

The maximum cover for valuables is 30% of the contents sum insured. For any item worth more than £2,500, these will need to be specified.

For example, if your client has a £50,000 watch that they have insured elsewhere, you will to need to arrange alternative insurance as this exceeds the valuables limit.
