If you’re an existing Paymentshield customer and are in the process of moving home then we can transfer your cover to your new home, whilst ensuring you are still covered on your previous home whilst moving, but you must contact us to let us know about the move so we can take some important details from you.
Provided you are legally responsible for both residential properties, we can hold like for like cover on both properties for a maximum of 30 days with no additional charge.
As soon as you complete your move (or reach the 30 days cover limit), cover on your previous property will cease and we will only be covering the new property going forward. You will need to call us back to remove any alternative correspondence address.
Please note that we can only do this for Buildings Only and Building and Contents cover.
If you have a Contents only policy, then we can only amend the address when you class your new home as your permanent residence. It may be that you need to call back when you have moved into your new home (along with your belongings) to change the address on the policy.
