What does Income Protection cover?

 

Unemployment Cover

Provides cover for involuntary unemployment, which includes self-employment

Benefit amount of up to £2,000 per month or up to 65% of your gross monthly income, whichever is less.

Benefit period of up to 12 months.

Free ’back to work’ service, which provides support while you are looking for employment.

Carer cover should you need to leave your job to care for a member of your immediate family.

 

Accident & Sickness

Provides cover if you are unable to work due to an accident or sickness and you remain unfit for work after your qualification period.

Benefit amount of up to £2000 per month or up to 65% of your gross monthly income. whichever is less.

Benefit period of up to 24 months.

 

 

Can I still make changes to my policy?

Yes. We’d encourage you to keep your policy up to date to ensure your cover meets your needs.

If you have accident,sickness and unemployment cover, you can remove the unemployment cover. Please take some time to consider if you are at risk of being made unemployed, and how quickly you may be able to re-gain employment.

If you have accident & sickness cover, we’re currently unable to increase your cover to include unemployment.

 

 

I can’t afford my policy at the moment, can I cancel but then reinstate it at a later date?

We’re sorry you can no longer afford to keep your policy and yes, if you chose to cancel your policy, you have 30 days to reinstate it. If you do not reinstate your policy within 30 days and pay any outstanding premium your policy will be cancelled.
