Please see below for the definitions of the different types of property:

DETACHED

Where the structure of the property isn't attached to any neighbouring properties i.e. House (space) House (space) or House-Garage (space) House-Garage (space).

LINK DETACHED

When the main structure of the property is only attached to garages at either side i.e. House-Garage-House-Garage-House-Garage or House-Garage-Garage-House.

As link detached is not an available property type for our policies you should select Detached. This ensures the correct classification factors are applied to the policy.

SEMI DETACHED

This is where the property is attached on one side to another i.e. (space)-House-House-(space) or (Space)-Garage-House-House-Garage-(space).

TERRACED

This is where more than two properties are attached side by side i.e. House-House-House-House. The properties on the end of the row will only be attached on one side, however, these are known as 'End terrace' and should still be classified as Terraced properties.
