When telling us how many bedrooms your property has, you need to include rooms that were originally designed for sleeping in, even if they are now, or will be, used for other purposes, including any rooms that have been adapted or converted for sleeping in. For example, loft conversions.

For example:

If you have a five bedroom house, but one bedroom is used as a study and one bedroom is used a play room, this is still a five bedroom house.

Please note, if in the future you change the number of bedrooms at your property, you'll need to notify us as soon as the work's complete so we can make sure your policy records are up to date. Failing to do this, could affect a claim you may need to make.
