When you take out Paymentshield Home Insurance , you have the option to cover your mobile phone both in and away from the home.

Mobile phones are covered in the home as standard under contents insurance and can also be covered under accidental damage for contents if you select this option.

If you’d like your mobile phone to be covered for loss and/or accidental damage, both in and away from the home, you'll need to select a level of personal possessions cover. If you’ve selected this cover, you can claim up to £2,500 for your mobile phone. However, if your mobile phone is worth more than £2,500, you can specify this on your policy for the amount you need.

Please note that loss or damage by theft or attempted theft, is excluded unless force and/or violence is used to get into or out of your home and loss or damage by electronic, electrical or mechanical breakdown or failure is not covered.
